January 23, 2010 Project

Our meeting will be held on January 23, 2010, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Love Lutheran Church, 3730 McArthur Blvd., Algiers, and if anyone needs directions or has questions, please contact me via e-mail.

Our project will be a triangle weave and attached is a picture in JPEG of one of the earrings which shows the design. I used Mardi Gras colors since it's almost that time to begin yelling, "Throw me something, Mister!"

Materials needed are:

*4mm beads (I used purple, green and gold crystals)
*Size 15 seedbeads
Ear wires
Clasp if you want to make a bracelet
Size 12 beading needle
Beading thread.

* NOTE: If you prefer using 6mm beads or crystals, you will need Size 11 seedbeads.

Westbank January 23 Project

Hi, Everyone and Happy New Year!

Our class will be held on the Westbank on January 23, beginning at 1 p.m. The project will be a faux King Cake Mardi Gras project and I will have a picture to post in a couple of days.

The Int'l Gem & Jewelry Show will be open starting tomorrow, Friday, January 8, 9 and 10 at the Ponchartrain Center. The project will use either size 15 seed beads with 4mm crystals or beads; or, size 11 seed beads with 6 mm crystals or beads, and this will be a great time to pick up some bling for your bead stash.

The class will be $12.00 and kits will be available on a reserved basis for $10.00.

Hope to see y'all there.
